“Feed efficiency was improved in pigs fed the oat diets. Overall, these results indicate that although oats are more expensive than corn, the improved growth performance offsets the added cost, particularly in the phase 1 nursery diet.”
There was a linear increase in average daily gain (ADG) and average daily feed intake (ADFI) as oat groat inclusion increased from d 0-7 and d 7-14 (Linear P < 0.05)
